The Story Behind the Calendar
In 2021, Rian's family moved to Cabo San Lucas. In between building new friendships and raising her family, Rian loved exploring all of the amazing local businesses and events in our her home. But she had just one complaint: she kept hearing about these amazing events after they had occurred.
In several local groups, Rian noticed a slew of people looking for a comprehensive events calendar. From nonprofit fundraisers to great concerts to plays, stand-up comedians, etc., great events were coming to Los Cabos, and residents were missing them! So, Rian and a friend made a small investment to get this calendar up and running.
After her friend moved away, Rian wasn't sure what would be in store for the calendar, and then two great things happened. Rian was asked to team up with Destino and Rian's friend Mariana decided to become a partner in Los Cabos Event Calendar. New partnerships have given rise to a new stage for the calendar and the future of events in Los Cabos.

Rian Chandler-Dovis
Rian lives in Tezal with her husband, two youngest children, and two Baja rescue dogs: Daisy and Tule. She is the Chief Product Officer and Managing Partner of a branding firm, Brand Federation, and a former professor at the VCU Brandcenter, a graduate program in Richmond, VA, USA. In her free time, Rian is a painter, lover of costume, and outdoor enthusiast.

Mariana Isunza
Mariana lives in San Jose Del Cabo with her lovable and spoiled Pomeranian dog Piper. She moved to Cabo in 2020 from Mexico City, fell in love with the vibe of the Baja lifestyle and decided to make it her home. A passionate experience seeker, she loves to participate in cultural and local events, connecting with the community. She currently works for an international entertainment company. In her free time she enjoys the amazing beach life, trying new things and living life!
